Holiday Traditions/Customs Report

Requirements:

1.) Locate the country using Google Earth or Google Maps

2.) Find name and date of the December holiday that may or may not be equivalent to our Christmas.

3.) Research the type of weather during the holiday season.

4.) List at least 3 different traditions associated with the holiday.

5.) Name and describe 2 holiday foods that are served during the holiday season.

6.) Name and describe 2 holiday decorations that are found at the holiday celebration. 

7.) Collect 11 images during your research. These images can be hand-drawn, saved from a creative commons internet site, photographs taken by you, or jpeg files you have created using your favorite program (paint, kid pix, kidspiration etc...).

• Image 1 - Title
• Image 2 - Represents your country
• Image 3 - Map
• Image 4 - Weather/Climate
• Images 5, 6, and 7 - Traditions
• Images 8 and 9 - Food
• Images 10 and 11 - Decorations

 8.) Write a script to accompany each image.  Be sure to give as many details as you can to your audience regarding the information you have learned as you have researched your country's December holiday.

9.) With the help of your teacher, choose a way to display your images and script.  Be creative.  The sky is the limit!  Some suggestions are below....but please feel free to do your own thing!
